I have a unique experience in managing a team of reporters, since my experience emanated from Iraq, a country rated as the most risky for the lives of reporters.
Mr. Abdul Rahman Al Rashid, Director General of Al Arabiya News Channel, reckoned that forming a team of reporters with no fixed domicile would mitigate the risks posed to their well being, given the fact that Al Arabiya has lost a significant number of reporters compared with other TV channels operating in Iraq.
I was tasked by Mr. Al Rashid to train a team of reporters who would cover all of Iraq, including the remote and desolate districts. Reporters were trained in the skills of writing, shooting, montage and transmitting from the center of action and they are covering with the cutting-edge technology of “Began”.
